In 2019, the Liber.ac Academic Book Fair marks two relevant anniversaries: the 10th anniversary of the Liber.ac Book Fair and 100 years of the University of Ljubljana and the Faculty of Arts. In this year of celebration, the 10th LIBER.AC, with 100 years of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana, titled Open Science and University Press, shall draw attention to the variety and high quality of the Slovenian academy press with a highlight in presentation and promotion of the newest achievements in science and interdisciplinary directions in development in higher education. The accompanying activities of the book fair, organised in cooperation with members of University of Ljubljana, shall present the biggest Slovenian university in all its variability and multidisciplinarity as an internationally open, recognised and dialogue-oriented academic community. 

The 10th LIBER.AC BOOK FAIR, WITH 100 YEARS OF THE FACULTY OF ARTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLJANA is relevant in multiple aspects: 

• Opening the academic space to the broader public, promotion of the newest achievements of researchers of the University of Ljubljana.
• Bringing awareness of researchers and publishing agents to the relevance of open science and open access.
• Promotion of university press.
• Taking the opportunity to draft university guidelines for setting up a unified digital platform for academic press, thereby linking the publishing activities of members of the University of Ljubljana.
• Raising the quality of university press at the University of Ljubljana and spreading its reputation in Slovenia and abroad.
• Variability of members of the University of Ljubljana and their associations at the fair event.
